Summer 2022: Gear Up & Get Ahead [grades 8-12]

Westport Continuing Education presents an ambitious roster of college and career-ready summer programs for high school students. As a division of Westport Public Schools, we share the mission to empower and inspire students to reach their full potential as lifelong learners and socially responsible contributors to our global community. We achieve this by fostering critical and creative thinking and collaborative problem solving. 

Out of the Box Thinking: Cultivating Qualities for the Emerging Future [entering 10–college] This highly-interactive, student-driven workshop fosters creativity through collaboration, deep listening, and increasing self-awareness. Examine social systems, interact via guiding questions, personal reflection, group collaboration, and inspiring thought experiments, and participate in discussions on the arts, contemporary philosophy, quantum science, and the natural world. A Historical Journey through Science and Social Justice [entering 10-12] Explore the intersection of science and history to address social justice topics.
