Margie Stokley-Bronz

instructor margie stokley westport continuing edMargie Stokley-Bronz is a multidisciplinary artist and parent. She graduated from NYU and is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing at Goddard College (Plainview, VT). She is a published playwright, actress and filmmaker. When not acting or writing, she runs a successful decorative painting business www.stokleyart.com, working in New York City and across the country. She runs “Give it a go!”, a studio where students have a chance to train as artists, singers, actors, and writers. There are classes for all ages, including adults!

Margie began her career in the arts as a child actor in Houston and continued to work Off-Broadway and regionally since graduating NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1996. She co- founded the award-winning New York city based, Andhow! Theater Company where she helped foster new plays Off- Off Broadway from seed of an idea to full production. She has written seven full-length plays; her play ELEPHANT was produced at the Ontological Theater in 2005. New York Theatre Experience published ELEPHANT in Plays and Playwrights 2005 and excerpts are published by Smith and Krauss in their Best Women’s Stage Monologues 2005, Best Men’s Stage Monologues 2005, and 222 More Comedy Monologues in 2017. Excerpts also appear in Applause Book’s Best Monologues of the Millennium and DUO! Best Scenes for the Twenty-First Century. She is a co-creator of PERFECT HARMONY, a theatrical mockumentary about a championship high school acapella group with Andrew Grosso and the Essential Company. PERFECT HARMONY is published by Samuel French. It performed Off Broadway at the Acorn Theatre, Clurman Theatre, Fringe NYC, Fringe Encores, and at Stoneham Theatre (MA).
