Courtney Ruggiero

Courtney Ruggiero was the 2018 Westport Teacher of the Year. She has been a social studies teacher at Bedford Middle School since 2009. Courtney received a BA in history from Bates College and an MAT in social studies from Brown University. She recently completed her 6th year degree in educational leadership from Sacred Heart University and has presented at an international conference and been involved in professional development within the school district. She co-taught a TED Talks workshop through the Connecticut Writing Project at Fairfield University, and she's excited to bring her experience back to Westport.
