Study with a renowned faculty of world-class musicians to develop your musical skills through improvisation, small ensemble work and instrument specific lessons. Students are also immersed in workshops on theory, arranging, Jazz history, a composers’ forum and master classes led by visiting jazz recording artists. Students also explore different options for college and career with a seminar on the music business hosted by the faculty. A veritable Who's Who of jazz musicians have participated as guest musicians, including Javon Jackson, Bernie Williams, John Pizzarelli, Michael Cuscuna, Dick Oatts, Rufus Reid, Harvie S, Ali Ryerson, David Hazeltine, Hilton Ruiz, Michael Moore, Jim McNeeley, Joe Chambers, John Mosca, Andy Fusco, Joe Magnarelli, Adam Nussbaum, Dave Weckl, the late Joe Beck (longtime faculty member)....and many more.
