The horticulture industry is growing as more people understand the increasing need for environmental stewardship, conservation and sustainability. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this industry will grow 18% in the next decade. Demand is growing for parks, landscapes, and gardens that feature native plants, encourage pollinators and promote sustainability. These programs are part of the Staples Summer Academy programs for high school and college students.
