Summer 2016: Discovery Camp: Morning Program

What would happen if your kids' favorite teachers got together and decided to put on a summer camp? You'd get something like Westport Continuing Education's Discovery Camp at Greens Farms Elementary School, for children entering grades K-5. With morning, afternoon, and full-day options, Discovery Camp is an action-packed, highly enriched, and flexible alternative to regular old day camp. Activities counselors are all certified teachers.

Mornings include a daily rotation of everyone's favorite activities, but we made summer smarter, with literacy, math, and science woven into campers' days so seamlessly they won't notice how much they're learning. All they'll notice is how much fun they're having.

Our Creative Campers activities—including arts and crafts, stories, games, and exploration of all kinds—will inspire kids to invent, imagine, question, and dream. In Mathletics & Science Explorers, campers will have fun doing hands-on, inquiry-based activities, like Scratch programming, space exploration, and bubble-ology.

We believe in the importance of runnin' around, gettin' sweaty, and havin' fun, so during our Kids 'n Play block, we'll let campers loose on our playgrounds and fields and in our gym. We'll mobilize them, energize them, organize them, and supervise them.

In the afternoons, Discovery campers can concentrate on the activity or hobby they like best, by signing up for any of our à la carte programs for actors and artists, filmmakers, cooks, computer geeks, engineers, and inventors.

CAMP LOCATION UPDATE: Because of an unexpected construction project this summer at Saugatuck Elementary School, Discovery Camp has been relocated to Greens Farms Elementary School.
