Description

Creative Coding with p5.js is a playful introduction to programming through art, animation, and interactivity. Participants learn core coding concepts (such as coordinates, variables, loops, conditionals, and functions) while creating geometric art, emojis, and interactive web effects that respond to mouse and keyboard input. They will also explore AI tools to support their learning and deepen their understanding. By the end of the course, students will have a foundational understanding of JavaScript and p5.js and will present simple interactive projects. No prior coding experience is required.

 

Students need to bring their Chromebooks/laptops to the class.

 

Additional Notes

Please bring a water bottle and nut-free snacks.
