Ready to
have FUN this summer? Do you like to play sports and do other fun
activities? This is the place for YOU! Make new friends! Be part of a
team! Develop a strong sense of satisfaction and achievement in a
non-competitive atmosphere. Learn physical skills and good
sportsmanship. Play sports and do activities such as basketball, soccer,
badminton, floor hockey, wiffleball, kickball, capture the flag, and
much more. Campers entering Gr. 2 & up have the option to go swimming. Bring a snack. Full day campers may bring
lunch or buy it at the Bedford cafeteria. (Instructors involved over the

Emphasis is on proper running, jumping, and
throwing techniques and on improving strength, flexibility, endurance
and performance. Safety, good sportsmanship, and a healthy work ethic

Beginners will be introduced to sprinting, distance running, and
throwing events. Attendance at meets is optional.

WHALEN BASEBALL CAMP (Ages 6-12):
Dennis Whalen brings
experience, expertise, knowledge and lots of fun to this week of
baseball instruction. Dennis and his staff of local coaches instruct the
boys and girls in the fundamentals and skills involved in playing
America’s favorite pastime.
Hitting, fielding, throwing and base running are a few of the skills to
be covered. No rain facility. Bring water, snack and baseball glove.

BASEBALL WORLD
TRAINING SCHOOL (Ages 5-15):
Imagine yourself
playing baseball all day long. Players will participate in drills,
skills and intra-squad games. Instructors will focus on all aspects of
the game of baseball, including infield/outfield techniques, hitting,
bunting, catching, pitching, base running, and sliding. Each week a
current or former major league baseball player, manager or coach will
visit and conduct a clinic. Scheduled to appear this summer are Sandy

LACROSSE CAMP
(Entering Gr. K-9):
The camp week
focuses on all aspects of lacrosse as a game and as a sport. Daily
sessions include mini-clinics, video taping, strength and conditioning
techniques, offensive and defensive strategies, and game play as a
whole. 1 to 8 professional coach/participant ratio. T-shirt and gift bag
included. The Gilman Lacrosse program is celebrating 10 years of
lacrosse instruction as the only full time lacrosse school in the United
States. Limited enrollment. Registration and payment deadline is May

MAJOR LEAGUE
SOCCER
CAMP: Major
League Soccer Camp is one of the fastest growing instructional and
recreational camp program in the area. The camp focuses on soccer
skills and team play. Coaches use an approach to teaching based on
concepts in child development as well as soccer information. Have fun
and success in playing the game while learning soccer basics.
Location is
Wakeman Fields. No rain facility.
*Parent
participates along with child.
ALL-STARS SPORTS
INSTRUCTIONAL BASKETBALL CAMP
(Entering Gr.
3-10): Players of all abilities – beginners to advanced – will love and
enjoy our instruction on basketball fundamentals. Campers will be
grouped by age and skill for daily drills, teaching stations, films,
games, and contests. Demonstrations, awards and more will be
incorporated into this action packed day camp. Come learn, improve both
your skills and knowledge of the game, make new friends and have loads
of fun. You’ll be ready and prepared to play better when you leave our
camp. Bring water and a snack. Full day campers bring lunch.

KARA
WOLTERS “DREAM BIG” BASKETBALL CAMP FOR GIRLS (Ages 8-15): Learn on court drills and off court skills from UCONN great and Olympic
Gold Medalist Kara Wolters!
At 6’ 7”,
Kara is one of the most accomplished female basketball players in the
world. She has played with undefeated National Champions UCONN in 1995
and then played in the WNBA in 1999 and won a championship with the
Houston Comets. Kara will bring with her experienced coaches and
counselors and will have guest speakers that will offer great knowledge
of the game. This is a must for all young girls interested in playing
basketball!
